A. Request for Expressions of Interest (EOI) for selection of consultant for Architectural and Engineering Services.

 

B. The Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh has acquired land at 3-47 Kioichou, Chiyoda-City, Tokyo, Japan to construct the Bangladesh Chancery Complex in Tokyo, Japan. The Embassy of Bangladesh in Tokyo, Japan hereby invites application from the eligible consulting firms for professional services for preparation of Architectural and Engineering design, drawing, specification, cost estimation, construction documents etc. for the proposed project. Interested consultants are invited to provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (Brochures summarizing their facilities and areas of expertise, Description of similar assignments, Experience in similar operating conditions, availability of appropriate experience and professional qualifications among applicant’s staff and resources to carry out the assignment, administration and financial capability may be enclosed).

Brief Description of Assignment

Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Government of Bangladesh, intends to construct Bangladesh Chancery Complex in Tokyo, Japan. As such design of the Complex and estimate for the total work need to be done first. For this purpose, the Ministry invites application from the reputed Japanese & Japan-Bangladesh joint venture Consulting Firms to indicate their interest to provide their Architectural and Engineering design and estimate for construction of Bangladesh Chancery Complex in Tokyo, Japan.

The services include

a) Preparation of Master Plan of the Chancery Complex in accordance with the existing rules and regulations of the local authority and the Government of Japan.             

b) Preliminary and final architectural drawing & design of various components of the proposed Chancery Complex along with landscape; HVAC, internal and external electrical works, communicating & networking system, plumbing and other necessary services.

c) Preparing detail cost and estimate of the work.

 

9.

Experience, Resources and Delivery Capacity Required

a) The consultant must have at least 10 years experience of consultancy service in preparing design & estimate of high quality buildings such as Hotel, Embassy Complex, Office-cum-Bungalow, Cultural Centre etc.

 

b) The Consultant must have eligibility to work in Tokyo as an Architectural and Engineering Consultant.
